THE AREA
Linlithgow is a very pretty market town in West Lothian, Scotland.
The area grew to prominence because of its position, roughly half way between Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle, together with its proximity harbour facilities on the
River Forth at Blackness.
A wonderful location for weddings is Linlithgow Palace, built by James I and his successors on a magnificent loch-side location.
The birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, the Palace was left in ruins by Government troops pursuing Bonnie Prince Charlie in January 1746.
